You may be wondering if traditional braces or Invisalign® are the better bet for your teeth. Well, let’s take a look at why Invisalign® is worth it for you, and be sure to contact us if you have any questions or are ready to have the smile you’ve always dreamed of!

Compared To Traditional Braces:

Less Invasive

First, Invisalign® is much less invasive than traditional braces because Invisalign® is a thin plastic tray placed over your teeth rather than thicker metal brackets which are affixed to your teeth and threaded with wire.

This means less soreness in your cheeks and tongue, as well as less time in the chair when you come in for your appointments.

Less Noticeable

You’ll find that Invisalign® will be much less noticeable to your peers – whether classmates, coworkers, friends or passersby – than traditional braces.

Traditional braces are shiny, colorful and obvious everytime you smile. While they’re worth it in the end, Invisalign® is a less noticeable way to get results if you’re looking for straight teeth.

Invisalign® aligner trays are completely clear, and nearly unnoticeable. We have clients who have told us that they’ve only had 2 or 3 people independently notice that they have Invisalign® trays on at all!

Less Time Overall

It’s also true that Invisalign® trays typically take less time to straighten your teeth than traditional braces. With traditional braces, it may take an average of 2 years to achieve the results you’re looking for, while with Invisalign® you can see the results in 12-18 months!

Less Complicated

Invisalign® is also much less complicated than traditional braces. Take eating and brushing for example.

With traditional braces, you’ll find that food gets stuck in them every easily. If you have rubber bands, you’ll need to remove them before eating and replace them after which can be quite difficult at times. When brushing, you’ll need to be sure to use a special tool to brush in between each bracket, and another special tool to floss underneath the wire.

With Invisalign®, you’ll be able to simply remove your aligner trays, and when you’re done eating, rinse your mouth with water and put the trays back in. When you brush your teeth, just remove the trays, brush your teeth as normal, then brush the trays and put them back in. Pretty simple, right?
