Even the best preventative care cannot always eliminate the possibility that damage or tooth decay may occur. Younger adults and children are more likely to develop dental caries (i.e. cavities) or suffer oral trauma from sports and activities. Older adults face concerns of tooth wear, tooth decay, periodontal disease, and other serious health concerns. East Ridge Dental specializes in restorative dental services for every member of your family. We can help with tooth colored fillings, same day crowns, bridges and dentures. We are passionate about providing comprehensive restorative services so that whatever your needs may be, we have you covered. Some of the most common restorative services are listed below.

Bridges

Should you experience tooth loss, a bridge may be the best way to fill the empty space in your smile. A bridge is a fixed prosthetic dental device that is made using porcelain. A dental bridge is built to match your other teeth, it will restore both function and beauty to your mouth.

Crowns

Crowns are perhaps the most often sought after restorative services we provide. A crown is a permanent covering that is built to fit over an existing tooth damaged by decay or trauma. Damaged or cracked teeth are protected from further harm, and your smile is restored to its full potential. Crowns are made from a variety of different materials. These materials may include porcelain, gold, E.MAX, or Zirconia. East Ridge Dental is proud to offer patients the cutting edge technology of “same day” crowns.  East Ridge Dental offers its patients the Planscan Complete System with E4D Technology®, (a system of four dimensional imaging, and an actual computerized crown mill in office). Dr. Reckling, Dr. Seaborn, and his highly trained assistants are able to use this system to scan your tooth, and mill the crown in office. This ensures that your crown fits well, looks great, and saves you time away from work or family obligations. We are so confident in the quality of our equipment, and the training and skills of our team, the crowns we provide are guaranteed for a period of five years.

Dentures

Dentures can be either partial or complete, and are a removable prosthetic that replaces any missing natural teeth. Dentures are often used when there are several or all teeth missing. They are also used commonly when a number of natural teeth must be removed due to damage or decay. Dentures consist of a flesh colored acrylic base that fits over your gums and secures the prosthetic in place.

Extractions

Occasions can arise which call for the removal of a tooth or teeth due to damage or decay. When your dentist recommends an extraction, or when an extraction is required, our goal is to provide you with the most comfort possible.

Implant-Supported Dentures

In some cases, dental implants can be used to attach full dentures to in order to provide for a superior fit, as opposed to full dentures alone. Attaching dentures to a dental implant is much more stable than without.

Root Canals

There are a number of reasons why a root canal may be recommended or required. A root canal is a process removing decay from the central portion and replacing the central filling of the tooth. Once the decayed pulp is removed, the tooth canal is reshaped and filled with tooth colored filler. Root canals are a relatively non-invasive procedure thanks to modern dental technology.

Tooth Colored Restorations

After a cavity is removed, the area must be filled with some material to protect the tooth from further damage. East Ridge Dental is proud to offer tooth colored restorations.  We are careful to get the closest match to your natural teeth possible, using the best possible materials available.
